From the Principal

Welcome to Brennen Elementary School, known affectionately to all who know us simply as Brennen. We are so glad you are visiting our web site, and we hope it will help you get to know our school.
With a warm and welcoming atmosphere, dedicated teachers, and a rich tapestry of cultures representative of our community, Brennen is a wonderful place to teach and learn.
One of the goals I work toward as a principal is to find the best and brightest teachers in the Columbia area. As a community, we work hard to provide a high quality educational experience for all Bulldogs. With continuous family support and outstanding volunteers, our students leave Brennen prepared for the next step in their academic career.
Continuous professional development ensures that our teachers and staff are as prepared as possible to meet the instructional needs of our students. Most recently, we had over 20 teachers participate in the Project Read Institute. They learned best practices in meeting the needs of our students in literacy. Coaches from Project Read will be at Brennen throughout the year working with our teachers and students in the classroom.
There are many opportunities for parents to become involved-from volunteering in the classrooms and front office to helping with our wonderful Parent Teacher Organization (PTO). Whatever you do, your active support and cooperation combined with our best professional efforts help our students be the best they can be-as students and community members.
See you around campus.
